Meditation is a grounding, healing practice that is available to everyone. It can be intimidating to begin and challenging to continue. So we’ve created this Grounding Meditation Circle to welcome you into the practice in a warm, accessible way. We’ll guide you in the foundations of meditation so you can enjoy some of the many benefits:

Routine meditation practice helps upgrade old patterns that would otherwise limit your potential. Meditation is also excellent practice for transforming snap judgments and reactions into thoughtful responses.
The workshop includes:
· An opening ceremony to help you get centered
· Information about the basics and benefits of meditation
· The physical elements of meditation
· 3 ways to meditate, and time to practice
· Closing relaxation and yoga nidra (sleep-based meditation – our favorite!)
Who should attend:
This workshop is open to all adults. No meditation experience required. Prenatal, postnatal, self-care, all abilities, all life experiences welcome.
About the teachers:
Megan Xidas has been teaching in Nashville for the last 5 years and has been meditating for more than 8 years. She brings the pure bliss of an open heart to every class she teaches and meditation is a huge part of that experience. Finding the space to breathe and focus our attention can be life changing, especially in a world with lots of distractions. Megan loves to share her passion for meditation and is humbled to offer her time and attention to those seeking this practice.
Melissa Shah has been practicing yoga from childhood, and is always seeking ways to intertwine this beautiful practice in her daily life. Integrating the fullness of each breath meaningfully into each movement is at the root of her teaching, and watching her students unfold in their practice is the utmost reward. Meditation felt daunting to her for a long time, and she is blessed to have teachers that continue to guide her in a welcoming, accessible way. Melissa is honored to share the benefits of meditation in a way that forms to the individual, rather than the other way around.
Cancellation Policy: Registration is refundable as a studio credit to use within 6 months as follows: For cancellations 48 hours prior to the workshop, receive 100% studio credit. For cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the event, receive 50% studio credit. Thank you for honoring this policy.
